St Erth, Cornwall

Access For All, Footbridge and Lifts

RKG worked alongside Crouch Waterfall, Network Rail and BAM Nuttall to deliver a new replacement pedestrian bridge link between platforms with platform lifts at either end, that also introduced access from the station car park below.

The design was inherited from another consultant, and RKG were appointed to navigate the challenging Listed Building and Planning consents and to produce a detail design package alongside Crouch Waterfall.

The new footbridge and lift shafts were designed with steel frame, masonry, Accoya timber and zinc cladding. The original Grade II Listed platform bridge was removed to a heritage museum as part of the works. Completed in 2025.
