Devonshire House, London

New Retail for Food and Entertainment Venue for Network Rail

Robinson Kenning & Gallagher  were approached by Network Rail to deliver the project from Grip Stage 1 to 8. The Scheme was nominated and progressed through to the 2017 London Planning Awards Finals for ‘Best Heritage Project’. The project mainly involved large scale restoration and refurbishment including specialist conservation works to Devonshire House, a Grade II listed building on the Heritage England at Risk Register.

The scale and complexity of the restoration works and both temporary and permanent stabilization works were extensive. RKG acted as Lead Consultant, Architects and Project Managers throughout the Grip stages. The scheme, now known as ‘Flat Iron Square’, has been highly publicised amongst mainstream and social media and has become a popular destination venue.

Project Value: £3.5m
