New Acute Medical Unit Facility at Croydon University Hospital
Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were commissioned to provide design and project management services, from feasibility to practical completion, for the complete fit-out of two disused wards in the London wing at Croydon University Hospital. Works were completed to a tight twenty-one week programme.
The new Acute Medical Unit provides access to all the necessary treatments and diagnostic assessments for people with a medical emergency.
The facility comprises: A clinical assessment unit, a short stay area for patients who need to stay in hospital for one to three nights, a diagnostic area for rapid access to tests, and an ambulatory care area which provides treatment and observation to patients who don’t need to be admitted.
Project Value: £1.45m
