Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup

Refurbishment of Six Wards Under the NHS ‘Privacy and Dignity’ Programme

RKG were commissioned by  the South London Healthcare NHS Trust at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup to undertake refurbishment of six wards under the Privacy and Dignity Programme. Cray Ward, Brook Ward, Swanley Ward, Ruxley Ward, Gillies Ward and Ellingworth Ward and associated facilities were all refurbished to exacting NHS Standards. The refurbishment included the re-design and upgrading of the shower and toilet facilities to each ward.

Queen Mary’s Hospital is an Acute District General Hospital and when originally opened provided pioneering plastic surgery for soldiers sustaining facial injuries during the First World War. Providing attractive and practical design solutions are essential to NHS service demands. Spacious layouts and robust construction ensure all our designs are fully compliant with NHS standards and DDA requirements throughout.

Project Value: £800k
