Marcantonio Foods Ltd., Barking

Extension of Existing Office Building and Forecourt Works for ITC

Robinson Kenning & Gallagher are very pleased to announce that we have been employed by fit-out and interior refurbishment specialists ITC to undertake the lead consultant and architectural working drawing package and on-site support for the warehouse, production, office and forecourt upgrade of Marcantonio Food Ltd. headquarters in Barking, East London.

Marcantonio are one of Europe’s leading suppliers of ice cream cones, wafers and other ice cream related products. Luigi Marcantonio left his home in Italy’s Abruzzi Mountains in 1893 for England and within two years and with very little money began producing some of the first rolled sugar cones ever seen in the UK. If you like ice-cream then the chances are you will have eaten a Marcantonio product at some point!

The fast-paced programme of works is a challenge RKG were happy to accept and look forward to a successful conclusion to the Project in early 2020.

Wimbledon LICC, London

Expansion of existing Local Information Control Centre and Offices based at Wimbledon Station for Network Rail

Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were approached by Network Rail to expand the Local Information Control Centre and offices based at Wimbledon Station. The brief required close coordination with specialist furniture manufacturers to develop suitable ergonomic and environmental layouts.

Each desk provides an operator with train timetables, CCTV coverage and a complete graphical oversight of the Station layout. This includes the location of stairs, footbridge, lifts and entrances, as well as a direct communication link with the help point located on the Station. With this, the operator is able to advise members of the public on the arrival of the next train, direct them to the nearest exit or arrange for assistance. The monitor display wall provides additional CCTV coverage with live footage from alternative CCTV cameras and therefore gives the supervisor first-hand knowledge of any situation.
