Paradise Row, London

Redevelopment of Redundant Arches as a High-Quality Retail Destination for Network Rail

The Arches are situated along Paradise Row, Bethnal Green within the area known as ‘The Civic Quarter’. Paradise Row is a cobbled street that can been seen from Bethnal Green Underground Station and from across Bethnal Green Park and beyond. RKG were appointed by Network Rail for Grip Stages 1 to 8.

Work undertaken included; concept design, planning, detailed drawings, specification of works, tender, site supervision and contract administration. The fully refurbished Arches provided 6no. high class retail units with external forecourt seating areas within the constraints of the conservation area. RKG arranged and hosted regular formal site meetings, managed project finances and all contract variations. The completed project has created a new vibrant cultural hub in a rapidly changing area.

Project Value: £1.3m
