New Office Accommodation for Croydon Borough Council
Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were engaged by Croydon Local Authority to design a scheme to create more office accommodation at Croydon Crematorium, Mitcham Road Cemetery. RKG were appointed to undertake full Architectural services basis on a traditional contract.
The Client brief was to design and build an office accommodation building and a floral display area within the grounds of the Crematorium. The new building provided staff with improved facilities including offices, additional storage, interview rooms, mess rooms and toilet facilities. The display area (protected from bad weather) included raised brick display plinths for the floral displays and a glass, clear roof for natural light. Works were completed in thirty weeks and on time by the Contractor, Codell Ltd.
