Clapham Junction Station Improvements for Network Rail and Stagecoach South West Trains

Network Rail in conjunction with Stagecoach South West Trains approached RKG to provide a Grip 3 feasibility study for undertaking design concepts for Station improvements at Clapham Junction Station. The Scope of Works were defined by Network Rail and Stagecoach South West Trains.

The main areas within the Scope of Works consisted of:

Overbridge
Platforms 9/10
Platforms 11/12
Platforms 13/14
Grant Road Entrance
Brighton Yard Building
Subway

The objective of the study was to identify possible improvement options and provide Clapham Junction Station with an identity of facilitating an improved movement of passengers whilst providing 21st century facilities and environment.

The Grip 3 report included initial Structural and M&E analysis, along with construction cost analysis to ±30% including possession costs and working during engineering hours.
